Plant Disease
Diseases in plants are classified into two parts such as noninfectious and infectious disease. Aster yellows, canker, basal rot, crab, etc. are the common diseases that occur in plants.
Disease in plants is defined as the abnormality in the plants due to the phytopathogenic organisms either biotic disease agents or infectious. One of the main reasons behind the abnormality in the plants is that due to the attack of the infections or fungus on the plants, the growth, structure, function, and other activities of the plants are disrupted. There are various types of causes of disease in plants. Plant hormones are one of the main reasons behind the arising of disease in a plant. There are various types of disease such as falling crops, Aster yellows, etc. arises in the plants due to deficiency of hormones in the plants.
Definition of Plant Disease
Disease in plants is defined as the occurrence of abnormality in the structure as well as the growth of plants due to attack of fungus and other bacteria in the plants. Pathogens are one of the main factors behind the occurrence of disease in the plants. Some of the common diseases in the plants are Aster yellows, canker, basal rot, crab, falling of crops of trees etc. Plant disease refers to the process which is dynamic that occurs in the living or nonliving and it is caused by the inefficiency of the minerals such as iron, nitrogen, phosphorus, vitamin C and many more. Plant disease prevented the growth of the plants and it also disrupted the other functionalities within the plant. Easter yellows, bacterial wilt, blight, fire blight, rice bacterial blight, Canker, crown gall, rot, basal rot., scab are the major dowses which naturally occur in the plants.
Cause of disease in plants
There are various types of causes of disease in plants. One of the main causes of disease in the plants are due to lack of plant hormones in the plants. Powdery Mildew in the leaves and flowers of plants is one of the diseases that occurs in plants due to the deficiency of Auxin hormone in the plants. Due to lack of this hormone, the supply of ingredients and essential nutrients are not reached to the plants. And the chance of fungal attack increases on the plants. Falling of crops of the plants is also a common disease that is seen in the plants. This disease mainly occurs due to the deficiency of Auxin hormone in the plants.
Another cause of disease in the plants are due to absence of minerals and other essential minerals in the plants. If the minerals are not present in the plants in an appropriate ratio, it restricts the growth and development of plants. It has also been seen that the risk of fungal and infections attack in the plants increases due to deficiency of essential minerals in the plants.
Deficiency of the vital essential minerals that cause plant disease
There are different minerals that cause disease in the plant. Scurvy has been the disease which caused the plant disease. Scurvy in plants is caused by the lack of vitamin C. There are several minerals present in the plants which cause the plant disease these minstrels are phosphorus, nitrogen, and iron, vitamin C. Phosphorus present in the soil and plants have consumed phosphorus in little amounts. The deficiency of phosphorus can inhibit or prevent shoot growth. Deficiency of nitrogen causes the yellowish leaves or the plants and sometimes it turns the plant colour into pink. Nitrogen promotes the growth of the leaf. Deficiency of the nitrogen trunks the leaf and entire plant colour into yellow and stops the plant growth. Iron chlorosis is the disease which causes yellowing of the plant leaves which is caused by the iron deficiency.
Conclusion
From the exploration of this study, it has been seen that noninfectious and infectious diseases are the common diseases that arise in a plant. It has also been seen that deficiency of essential minerals, ingredients, hormones in the plants. Apart from these, the occurrence of different diseases in a plant due to deficiency of hormones, minerals, and essential components have been appropriately discussed in this study with proper justification. Some frequently asked questions based on the disease on the plants have also been described with appropriate answers in this study.
